MA Biology – University of Missouri-Columbia
BS Biology summa cum laude – Truman State University
I developed and taught Ethics of Food IDSM 320 with Professor Maureen McHale at Truman State University. Collaborating with others from the Liston Lab and Pires Lab, we presented a workshop on Next Generation Sequencing at Botany. I have developed curricula and taught 6-8th graders how to code and build simple hardware for high altitude balloons. With my friends, we built this into an educational project. Two notable workshops in which I participated were the 2012 Workshop on Molecular Evolution at Woods Hole and the 2017 Open Science Grid User School at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
